La semana ganadera esencial de Alberta
Farmfair International es una de las exposiciones de ganado bovino más importantes de Canadá: cuatro días en Edmonton con juras nacionales por raza, la mayor bolsa de premios ganaderos del país y, el domingo de cierre, el Supreme Show, donde los campeones de todas las razas se encuentran en una misma pista. En 2026 Argentina es el País Invitado de Honor, lo que le da a la semana un carácter internacional poco habitual.
El Farmfair Lightning Tour está pensado para el cabañero que no dispone de dos semanas pero no quiere perderse lo esencial. Cuatro días adentro de Farmfair, seguidos de visitas privadas a siete de las cabañas líderes de Alberta y una jornada completa en AgriTrade, la principal exposición de maquinaria y tecnología del oeste canadiense. Cada visita la recibe la familia que cría el ganado, con coordinación español–inglés permanente.
El grupo está limitado a diez participantes. Chico a propósito: la conversación junto al alambrado es el objetivo.

Ingreso a Canadá
- Ciudadanos argentinos: se requiere visa de visitante (TRV) con turno biométrico, salvo que tengas visa vigente de EE.UU. o hayas tenido visa canadiense en los últimos diez años, en cuyo caso alcanza con la eTA (CAD 7, online, aprobación en minutos). Iniciá el trámite ahora.
- Si tenés pasaporte italiano u otro de la Unión Europea, podés viajar con ese pasaporte y solo la eTA, sin biométricos.
- Ciudadanos mexicanos: misma regla que Argentina. Ciudadanos del Reino Unido, la UE y Australia: solo eTA.
- Al llegar hay que declarar en la aduana las visitas a establecimientos rurales y el contacto con animales. Llevá calzado y ropa limpios y desinfectados para las visitas; vamos a orientar a cada participante.
- Las normas cambian; confirmá en el sitio del Gobierno de Canadá antes de viajar. Esta es información general, no asesoramiento migratorio.
Condiciones
- Reserva: seña del 30%, no reembolsable, que asegura el lugar. Saldo (70%) antes del 9 de octubre de 2026; de no recibirse en fecha, se pierden el lugar y la seña.

The essential Alberta cattle week
Farmfair International is one of Canada’s foremost beef cattle shows: four days in Edmonton with national breed shows, Canada’s largest cattle prize purse and, on the closing Sunday, the Supreme Show where the champions of every breed meet in one ring. In 2026 Argentina is the Feature Country, which gives the week an unusually international character.
The Farmfair Lightning Tour is built for the breeder who cannot spare two weeks but does not want to miss the essential. Four days inside Farmfair, followed by private visits to seven of Alberta’s leading seedstock operations and a full day at AgriTrade, western Canada’s principal equipment and technology expo. Every visit is hosted by the family that breeds the cattle, with English–Spanish coordination throughout.
The group is limited to ten participants. Small on purpose: the conversations at the rail are the point.

Day 3 · Saturday 7 NovemberBreed shows and the Feature Country programme
- Breed shows continue. Argentina’s Feature Country programme brings an international delegation and receptions into the week.

- Farmfair’s closing day: the grand champions of every breed return to the ring for the Supreme title, Canada’s largest cattle prize purse on the line. Preferential seating for the delegation.

- Miller Wilson Angus (Bashaw): Lee and Dawn Wilson, international judges and owners of the DMM prefix — genetics supplied to 29 countries and four-time Supreme Champions at Canadian Western Agribition.

Entry to Canada
- Citizens of the United Kingdom, the European Union and Australia: an eTA (CAD 7, online, usually approved within minutes; no biometrics) is all that is required for air travel.
- Mexican citizens: an eTA is available only to holders of a valid US non-immigrant visa or a Canadian visa held in the past ten years; others need a visitor visa (TRV). Apply now.
- Argentine citizens: the same rule as Mexico. Argentine travellers holding an Italian or other EU passport may travel on that passport with an eTA.
- On arrival, declare farm visits and animal contact to the border services. Bring clean, disinfected footwear and clothing for the farm visits; we will brief every participant.
- Rules change; confirm on the Government of Canada website before travel. This is general information, not immigration advice.
Terms
- Reservation: 30% deposit, non-refundable, secures the place. Balance (70%) due by 9 October 2026; unpaid balances forfeit the place and the deposit.
- Cancellation: because of hotel prepayments during Farmfair and AgriTrade, no refunds are made once a deposit is paid, for any reason. We strongly recommend “cancel for any reason” travel insurance.
- The itinerary and hotels are confirmed in good faith and subject to availability; alternatives of equal or higher category will be provided if necessary.
- Laurik International is not responsible for delays or changes arising from weather, border closures, strikes or new biosecurity regulations; any resulting costs are borne by the participant.
