From the Pampas to the Capital
Following the conclusion of the IFMA25 Congress, our journey begins with a comfortable, daytime coach transfer from Rosario to Buenos Aires. The evening will be spent at a hotel in this bustling metropolis, allowing for a relaxed transition before our flight north. This evening is at your leisure, with optional activities available such as a classic city tour or an iconic Tango dinner show.

Gateway to the Subtropical Frontier
After breakfast, we will transfer to the domestic airport for our flight to Posadas, the capital of Misiones province. Upon arrival in the early afternoon, we will transfer to our hotel, which will serve as our comfortable base for the next four nights.

Today we delve into the region’s profound history with a visit to the magnificent San Ignacio Miní Jesuit Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A guided tour will illuminate the legacy of these 17th-century missions, which were foundational agricultural and social centres in South America, leaving an indelible mark on the region’s culture.

The day is dedicated to a comprehensive technical visit to Establecimiento Las Marías, a leading agro-industrial enterprise in the neighbouring province of Corrientes. The tour will provide a deep dive into their fully integrated and diversified business model, showcasing their renowned operations in Yerba Mate and Tea Production, Brangus Cattle Breeding and Genetics, and Sustainable Forestry Management.

Our focus shifts to innovation and value-added processing. The day’s visits will include a state-of-the-art sawmill, where you will see high-technology timber processing and a “zero-waste” circular economy model in action, alongside an impressive aquaculture operation, providing a case study in diversification with a tour of their full-cycle farming of native fish species.

R&D, Silvopastoral Systems, and the Road to Iguazú
We check out of our Posadas hotel and travel north towards Puerto Iguazú, making key technical stops en route. We will engage with leading researchers at an INTA Experimental Station to discuss topics of regional importance, including advanced citrus and forestry genetics. Later, we will visit The Gruber Group, a benchmark family enterprise, to see their innovative and economically successful silvopastoral model, which integrates sustainable forestry with a complete cattle cycle. In the evening, we will arrive and check into our hotel in Puerto Iguazú.

The Power and Majesty of Iguazú Falls
Today is dedicated to experiencing the awe-inspiring Iguazú National Park from the Argentine perspective. You will explore the park’s extensive network of trails, including the Upper and Lower circuits, for breathtaking, close-up views of the waterfalls. The day’s highlight will be a visit to the thunderous Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat).
